We’re Mert and Alexandra. We built a company together before AUGE. This time, we’re keeping things small and close to home.

Mert Yentur
Turns everyday problems into products. Writes the code, tries it out, and keeps working until it’s useful.
Mert’s background
Born in Ankara. His father taught him AutoCAD at seven, and it never wore off. Apple Turkey in the iPod years; then Zurich, WebObjects, and neuromorphic engineering before leaving academia to build things people could use sooner.
Co-founded Pitcher with Alexandra and grew it past 150 people, bootstrapped, writing most of the code himself. Left the day-to-day in 2026 and started AUGE so work would fit around the family. Off hours: metal concerts, the gym, and school runs.

Alexandra Sabelnikova
Looks after the business, from finance to administration. Tests what we build and has the final word on whether it’s ready.
Alexandra’s background
When Pitcher was two people, Alexandra was finance, sales, training, and marketing. Everything except the code. When their son was born, she stepped away for the more important job.
At AUGE she is back part-time, looking after finance, administration, and product testing. A co-founder in the real sense.
Our family recipe.
AUGE is an independent software company in Zug, Switzerland. Mert builds. Alexandra looks after the business. The toughest product reviews happen at the dinner table.
Every product starts as a problem in our own house: lyrics we couldn’t catch, training and food that no app connected, screen time we wanted to make more worthwhile for our son, or a podcast we couldn’t play in the car.
We build a few small apps in parallel. Each one earns its place in our day before we ask it to earn a place in yours.
The house rules
Only the good stuff.
- Every app must be at least two of three things: fun to build, very useful, and profitable.
- No ads, no data sales. A clear price is more honest than turning attention into the product.
- We use everything we ship, daily. If it stops earning its place in our routine, we rethink it.
Success means enjoying what we build, making it useful to other people, and still having time for our family.
